The Vision Systems Engineer will be involved in the design and implementation of non-contact vision systems to inspect items on high-speed production lines for quality, size, shape, position etc.
The work will be varied and every project a new and exciting opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level.
You will be involved in all aspects of projects from the initial requirements’ gathering, proposal production and the specification through to the design, development and installation of the solutions.
You will provide support to senior members of the engineering teams in ensuring the successful completion of projects using a variety of vision system technology. You will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are conducted in line with the company Quality Management System.
Background and experience:
Applicants must have experience or an education in industrial automation, an interest in integrating machine vision systems and good fault-finding skills.
Engineers with the drive and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly and efficiently will definitely be considered for the positions.
Ideally the successful candidate will be confident with VB.NET and will have an understanding of interfacing vision system equipment with PLCs and PCs, although this is not essential.
