Virtual Vehicle Co-Ordinator & Buck Mechanic- Contract- Warwick - £Competitive rate
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Virtual Vehicle Co-Ordinator & Buck Mechanic to join a small but complete vehicle manufacturer.
The Virtual Vehicle Co-Ordinator & Buck Mechanic will report into the Head of Vehicle Architecture and will be responsible for the visualisation and management of geometry & data relating to the Vehicle Concept Group. They will be using brand new, state of the art, 2D and 3D visualisation tools in a brand new, custom built engineering centre.
What You Will Do:
As Virtual Vehicle Co-Ordinator & Buck Mechanic
- Data management and co-ordination for all major engineering reviews, responsible for gathering geometrical inputs from colleagues around the group
- Leading the geometrical data management for the new Virtual Reality, and Geometry Review Room facilities on behalf of the group
- Assist in using the virtual engineering tools available, to drive the development of future projects
- Use the geometry tools available to help drive the resolution of technical issues as needed, by manipulating and interrogating the data live in engineering reviews as required.
- Lead & run regular formal geometry meetings and ad-hoc meetings as defined by Vehicle Concept Group
What You Will Need:
As Virtual Vehicle Co-Ordinator & Buck Mechanic
- Relevant industry experience in automotive design, being a Catia user, Digibuck & TCE/TCUA trained
- Proficient experience in whole vehicle layout and definition
- Expertise in the virtual vehicle process and best practice
- Experience in leading virtual / geometry reviews
- Experience managing virtual data and digital bucks would be beneficial though not essential
