Vehicle Package Zone Lead - Top Hat - EV - Warwick - Permanent - £ Competitive salary

A Vehicle Package Zone Lead Top Hat is required to join a small but complete vehicle manufacturer, you will be responsible for the creation of world class vehicle layouts in accordance with the dimensional, attribute and cost parameters defined for each programme. The Vehicle Package Zone Lead will also be responsible for driving the development of the vehicle package for a Top Hat programme to ensure it is delivered on time, and to the required quality level.

The Vehicle Package Zone Lead Top Hat will report into the Head of Vehicle Architecture

As Vehicle Package Zone Lead - Top Hat - you will be required to

• Responsible for leading the definition & delivery of Top Hat vehicle programmes in line with NPI requirements

• Report on package deliverables & key technical issues in meetings to drive progress

• Applying highly advanced CAD expertise in the definition of package layouts

• Lead the definition of the package layout for the Top Hat and drive its alignment with design

• Creation of vehicle concept proposals and vehicle package layouts, using top hat knowledge and expertise

• Creation of component and system layouts to drive the vehicle concept development

• Lead & run regular formal package / design reviews and ad-hoc meetings as required

As Vehicle Package Zone Lead - Top Hat - you will have

• Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in vehicle packaging using Catia

• Expertise in Advanced CAD tools and techniques such as: Parametric, Associative & Kinematic modelling

• Detailed knowledge in package concept design and integration

• A firm understanding of all vehicle systems and the interactions

• Knowledge of vehicle set up and conceptualisation

• Capability of managing complex projects and providing leadership to the vehicle packaging area of a project
