I am seeking a Thermodynamics Specialist for a world-leader in advanced engineering, research and product testing. This is a permanent position based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and is offering a competitive salary & benefits
The Thermodynamics Specialist will assume a central engineering role in highly varied vehicle thermal management project activities. As part of the Thermal Systems Engineering team, they will be responsible for the design and development of advanced HVAC systems for xEVs. This includes heat pump systems and the implementation of new refrigerants. They will develop model-based development techniques for Heat Pump systems.
What You Will Do:
As Thermodynamics Specialist;

  • Development of 1-D simulation techniques to support the design of Thermal Management Systems
  • Development of advanced HVAC systems for xEV applications by means of numerical simulation and systems bench test e.g. Heat Pump systems
  • Consolidate Systems Engineering principles for advanced xEVs' Thermal Management
  • Model-Based Design of HVAC Systems, Battery Thermal Management Systems and xEVs' Powertrain Cooling systems
  • Conception & Design of automotive heat pump systems
  • Thermal systems rig-based development and optimisation of xEVs' HVAC systems



What You Will Need:
As Thermodynamics Specialist;

  • Minimum 5 years in automotive thermal management
  • 1-D Modelling and Simulation, ideally using GT-Suite
  • Strong Thermodynamics background
  • HVAC Systems development experience
  • Performance optimisation of Thermal Management systems
  • Energy Efficiency Analysis
  • Solid report writing skills
