Thermal Systems Lead Engineer - Permanent - Nuneaton - £Competitive Salary DOE
I am seeking a Thermal Systems Lead Engineer for a world-leader in advanced engineering, research and product testing. This is a permanent position based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and is offering a competitive salary

What You Will Do:
As Thermal Systems Lead Engineer;
The Thermal Systems Lead Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership in highly varied vehicle thermal management projects activities

  • To provide section leadership within the Thermal Systems Engineering team in support of the Team Leader. The role entails the day to day running of the section and improving the section in terms of people, process and delivery
  • Development of 1-D simulation techniques to support the development of full Vehicle Thermal Management Systems for xEVs
  • To develop simplified 1D thermal model of ICEs for hybrid vehicles
  • To develop numerical platform for the holistic energy management of xEVs

What You Will Need:
As Thermal Systems Lead Engineer;
Essential experience for this role would include:

  • Degree qualified Engineer, ideally having 5 to 10 years in automotive thermal management
  • 1-D Modelling and Simulation experience using GT-Suite, in particular HVAC systems
  • Strong Thermodynamics background
  • Good understanding of automotive Thermal Energy Management and holistic Vehicle Energy Efficiency
  • 1D ICE thermal Modelling
  • Matlab/Simulink modelling
  • Project Technical Leadership
  • Engineering Team Leadership
