Jonathan Lee Recruitment are looking for an Embedded Test Engineer to work for a Tier 1 Automotive company based in Birmingham, please see the details below.

Location:- Birmingham (remote) - It's your choice if you want to go into the office

The role

You will be working as part of the software test competence centre. Your responsibilities include unit testing

and integration testing, taking input documentation and creating software test specifications from which to

create and execute tests. You will be involved in requirements reviews with the requirements competence

centre and ensuring all testing is completed, issues are logged and coverage metrics are also met. We're

currently starting a new way of working so an open mind and ability to feedback potential process

improvements is essential.

Your Profile

University degree in engineering, preferably software engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or an equivalent qualification

At least 4 years of work experience in embedded or automotive embedded industry environment

Excellent knowledge of C

Experience of unit testing and/or integration testing using tools such as VectorCAST, Gtest, CANtata etc.

Affinity with communication buses and/or protocols like CAN, LIN, MOST, UART, SPI, I2C

Experience in SW development process: V-Model, Waterfall, product releases, Continuous Integration, Version Control Systems, writing documentation,

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, bash)

Ability to work with SW/HW debuggers,

Experience in multi-threaded and/or multi-processing real-time operating systems (e.g. OSEK, Integrity, QNX, etc.) is an advantage

Experience with SW designs and architectures (Enterprise Architect, UML)

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics,

Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and AUTOSAR is considered as an advantage,

Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
