Want to work for a forward thinking organisation that design, develop and build powertrain systems and associated products for various applications within the marine sector driving engineering excellence? We are looking for a Technical Writer to help create and build out modern documentation including owners, service and parts manuals. You will be a core part of the product team working closely with engineering, product marketing, and customer service.

The role of Technical Writer (Powertrain Systems) will be to write and edit technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals in accordance with industry guidelines ensuring that they are appropriate for the intended audience.

As a Technical Writer (Powertrain Systems) your main responsibilities will include;

  • Create and edit technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals in accordance with industry guidelines
  • Works with engineers, programmers, and project managers to learn about specific products or processes
  • Responsibility for owning an end-to-end documentation creation process
  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets both industry and organizational standards
  • Develop and maintain a detailed database of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
  • Plan writing processes and sets specific timelines and deadlines


This is a challenging and exciting role, and we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate that they have the ability and passion to:

  • Research product samples to fully understand product
  • Assesses the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended
  • Present complex information in clear, concise text in alignment with the target audience

You will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field
  • 2-4 years' industry experience as an effective technical writer for mechanical and electronic products
  • Proven experience writing technical documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
  • Previous new product launch experience preferred
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
