Production Trainer

This business is a niche automotive design and vehicle builder that is currently undergoing a huge period of growth, with the introduction of impressive, new product lines. The Production Trainer’s key responsibilities will be to support all training activities for both apprentices and operational staff, leading training sessions and creating training materials that is reflective of their production and operational processes.

As part of the role the Production Trainer will require strong communication and interpersonal skills as you will need to mentor and advise individuals on production systems and procedures, delivering face-to-face training sessions to ensure all employees are trained to the same standard across the business.

The role will require the Production Trainer to:

  • Develop internal technical pathways to support business succession planning processes and take full accountability for all internal and external apprenticeship programs, working closely with external support to provide an engaging experience.
  • Drive the operator approval process to build a multi skilled workforce and address any skills gaps, providing hands on support to operators within the production facility, mentoring them as required.
  • Assess all training activities through regular review sessions to ensure standards are being maintained and where required improved through additional support and mentoring.
  • Manage the promotion and management of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all content is engaging and relevant to the learner journey.
  • Take ownership and management of the training database ensuring all records are kept up to date and are accurate and auditable, providing monthly management data, drawing up any necessary improvement plans. 

Requirements:

  • Exposure to training and development within a manufacturing and production environment as a dedicated trainer, assessor or as part of your position.
  • Experience of working with external providers to deliver technical skills/learning solutions.
  • Good ability to write clear statements of work, identifying and supporting the selection of potential delivery partners.
  • Exposure of working with multiple stake holders at all levels to design, build and deploy effective technical skills / learning solutions which are cost effective and deliver results.
