Technical Support/Warranty Engineer - Emissions and after treatment systems
I am seeking an engineer to work within a bluechip organisation renown for its exhaust and after treatment systems. A new product category has been created and is having tremendous success in the market place - this is for retrofit systems that reduce harmful diesel engine emissions on HGV/PSV. Local and national legislation means ever increasing stricter penalties on vehicles unable to comply - the cost to operators of new vehicles in prohibitively high. As such my client has invented retro fit products for older engines that enables them to meet new standards and thus prolong the service life of operations. The systems use state of the art catalysts, control systems and telematics.
What you will do:
You will establish processes to collect and analyse data from received from the field, develop predictive systems that minimise warranty claims, overdue servicing and part sales opportunities.
Compile reports, record issues and provide first-line technical support and access to on-line resources for customers
Analyses and process telematic data to identify under-performing vehicles.
Work with project and engineering teams to ensure documentation is up to date, including on-line manuals
Input to FMEAS
Own customer concerns and be responsible for their solution
What you will need:
ONC/HNC/degree in an engineering subject
Demonstrate skills in managing and analysing large quantities of data
Ideally some knowledge of HGV, diesel engines, exhausts, CAN systems
Previous customer support or warranty management experience
Be eligible to work in UK unrestricted
