My client designs, measures, integrates and supplies Measurement Systems to a wide range of industries including Plastic Packaging, Aerospace and Medical, incorporating a wide range of cutting edge technologies.

They are now seeking a technically strong Sales Manager to drive sales of their Plastic Packaging Gauging equipment/PET Plastic Bottles, increasing the market share with existing customers and developing new customers globally.


Your duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Developing enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities for their product range in Europe and Asia
  • You will also look to developing business in North and South America, working closely with the regional Managing Director for the Americas
  • Improve sales pipeline reporting function to allow key decisions to be made at management and board level
  • Develop a short term and long term global sales strategy for the PET Plastic Bottle range in conjunction with the Sales Director
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers
  • Identify potential new development opportunities and work closely with the R&D department
  • Assist the marketing team in the development of a Plastics marketing strategy to support the short and long term sales strategy


We are looking for the following:


  • A proven Technical Sales professional with relevant industry experience or someone who’s been in a technical customer facing role within the plastic packaging industry
  • A metrology background would be highly advantageous
  • You should have experience of dealing with customers or suppliers on a global basis
  • Be an excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • A strong negotiator with a high degree of commercial acumen
  • Be driven to achieve results
  • Ideally Degree qualified
