Job title: Technical Sales Engineer - Electroplating
Region: Midlands / North
Reporting: UK Sales Director
Organisation: UK sales and service team
Scope: UK customer support and sales development, primarily focused in the Midlands region with future growth in the North. Focused on products for electroplating / General Metal Finishing (GMF).
Provide customer service & technical support on company products and the electroplating process.
Undertake key account management.
Prospect for new business opportunities.
Write and present customer quotations.
Generate sales of GMF products.
Meet sales and margin targets.
Undertake/Supervise solution makeups and process starts.
Undertake/Supervise customer product tests.
Undertake company and product presentations.
Provide customer visit reports.
Report on market trends and competitor activities.
Input into GMF annual sales budget.
Contribute to company activities and projects.
Represent the company within the wider surface finishing industry.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in the electroplating, surface finishing, coatings industry is essential.
Must have a broad technical knowledge of electroplating and surface treatment processes.
Demonstrate a sound technical and laboratory background.
Process technology focused.
Previous sales and commercial experience desirable.
Must be chemical/science educated.
