VACANCY TITLE: Technical Helpdesk Engineer

LOCATION: Manchester Office

Our Client, a a market leader in providing heating, cooling and ventilation solutions, is looking for a Technical Helpdesk Engineer to provide technical support to on-site engineers, customers and colleagues on all products in their range of responsibility.

As a Technical Helpdesk Engineer you will be responsible to:

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to emails in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Evaluate information provided by customers and provide technical solutions
  • Problem solve for customers in a positive and effective manner
  • Update customer case logs with information provided
  • Ensure courteousness and helpfulness to callers at all times
  • Provide high levels of customer service at all times
  • Be a team player in contribution to the Technical Helpdesk workload
  • Contribute positively towards achieving all team and individual performance targets
  • Where appropriate, liaise with other departments and colleagues to ensure we deliver excellent. customer service and issue resolution
  • Proactively keep up to date with technical knowledge and product developments
  • Maintain a working understanding of internal IT systems and use these to provide solutions when required
  • Understand and comply with all relevant company policies & procedures

Skills required:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or a minimum of 7 years industry experience
  • Logical fault finding/problem solving capability
  • A working understanding of Refrigeration circuits OR Electrics OR DX split & VRF systems
  • Ideally a working understanding of Chilled water & domestic/commercial heating systems OR AHU/Ventilation systems OR Building management & Control systems
  • Capable of making decisions and informed judgements when required
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
