Supply Chain Manager
Paying up to £90,000 per annum

A Supply Chain Manager with experience of working within an engineering or manufacturing environment is required on a permanent basis for an annual salary of up to £90,000 per annum and will be based in Stafford for a manufacturing client.


  • Responsible for inventory management to ensure levels meet enterprise inventory turns targets while achieving customer delivery performance targets
  • Accountable for logistics processes to ensure point of use material availability
  • Working with the product managers to ensure supply chain strategies are developed and aligned with worldwide sourcing strategies
  • Accountable for ensuring material requirements for both facilities are met
  • Collaborating with supplier performance managers to identify and mitigate risks to continued on-time supply of materials
  • Supporting NPI programs by ensuring that supply chain processes support successful product introduction, minimising aged inventory or obsolescence
  • Ensuring that all Supply Chain processes are robust and compliant with enterprise policies and procedures
  • Coaching, developing and mentoring department resources
  • Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports, including development, capability building and succession planning.

Skills required:

  • Leading and managing all aspects of Supply Chain processes across multiple facilities
  • Experience within a large-scale manufacturing business from a relevant industry (relevant industries may include: automotive, engineering, heavy industry and fast-moving consumer goods)
  • Proven leadership experience leadership experience
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Able to build relationships with key functions and senior leadership within a large organization
  • High-level of business acumen with the ability to make decisions taking into consideration multiple variables
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
