Supply Chain Analyst
Aldershot, Hampshire
£30,000 to £35,000 + benefits

Our client is a Japanese corporate who specialise in the specializing in the manufacture and sales of electrical connectors across multiple industries. Employing over 5,000 people worldwide with an annual turnover of over £894billion, their diverse products include electronic devices from connectors to aerospace electronic equipment, optics-related products, and various other types of machinery and equipment.

They are now looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to strengthen their Supply Chain team in Hampshire. The Supply Chain Analyst will focus on supporting the continuity of optimum inventory levels. Focus will be on measuring and ensuring capacity is sufficient, correct safety stocks are in place, stock is categorised with the goal of improved inventory control, reduced cost of sales and minimised obsolescence

About the role

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and monitor on a weekly basis
  • Ensure stock levels comply with stock holding KPIs
  • Coordinate with production personnel ensuring there is sufficient capacity to service the demand
  • Monitor and develop stock discrepancy reports
  • Analyse and monitor customer forecast accuracy
  • Monitor and offer report on the obsolete stock holdings
  • Produce Supply Chain management reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Continue to analyse and highlight areas for improvement in the end to end supply chain

About you

  • You must have strong Excel skills - Pivot, V-Lookup etc
  • Experience of short lead times/notice periods
  • Successful and demonstrable experience in Supply Chain Analysis
  • Far east supply chain experience would be highly desirable
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain theory, how what you do impacts the wider team, someone who can think without a system telling them what to do!
  • Comprehensive working knowledge / experience of SAP
  • Understanding and exposure to supply chain processes and strategy
  • Excellent communication skills; written & oral
