Structures Design Engineer

Up to £39/hr - Inside IR35

Desford/Remote - Hybrid

12 month initial contract

Off Highway

As a Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design of components and assemblies for structures: Welded steel fabrications, castings, pins, bearings and bolted joints.

The ability to work in a hands-on environment for issue resolution and design development is strongly desired. 

You will need to have strong communication and collaboration skills to enable cross functional development.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• CAD Design of components and assemblies in CREO
• Completion of component and group drawings
• Participating in Design Reviews, FMEA's
• Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams
• Involving other engineers and technical resources to address detailed technical problems
• Working with a global team that requires virtual collaboration
• Working with design resources and suppliers to rapidly implement design changes

To apply for this position you should have some of the following:

• Engineering degree or HND with experience
• Experience of off highway machine design and development preferred
• Must have worked in CAD and Team Centre, CREO would be useful too
• FEA Background would be desirable
• Knowledge of castings, bolted and pins & bearings advantageous
• Capable of working as part of a team collaborating with colleagues in different geographies
• Graduates will be considered with the right background
