A Strategic Buyer opportunity has become available for a global equipment OEM.
The Strategic Buyer role will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders in the group to formulate and execute business wide category strategies that deliver cost effective solutions for operational requirements and provide commercial services in respect to acquiring all materials at the total lowest cost.
The role will build capability with their stakeholders to ensure supplier performance / productivity improvements in regard to the business quality, cost, delivery and risk targets.
This is a role where expertise and credibility count. You’ll need proven experience and the ability to strike the best deals for the business. Good communication skills and influence will be essential, along with a gift for building relationships. A CIPS/MCIPS qualification would certainly be an advantage. With these talents, you’ll be equipped to help more junior team members develop – but to really excel, you need motivation, enthusiasm and the drive to take the business forward.

- Inventory Management Understanding
- Experience of hydraulic component purchasing experience would be well received
- Must be able to travel overseas
