Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - rotating shifts, predominantly Monday to Friday with some weekend working - SMT Electronics manufacturing - £27k plus ample overtime at premium rates - Pencoed, South Wales

The business is a global giant in all things electronic and entertainment from the latest in 4K recording technology today and a history of innovation and development in both professional and consumer electronic products. The company boasts revenues annually of over £70 billion and the site in South Wales is the only manufacturing unit in the UK.

The collaboration with companies around the world to develop world-class products has delivered major projects from the site including the creation of LED technology, medical devices and the recent success of the Raspberry Pi a credit card-size micro-computer that has become hugely popular.

As a result of sustained growth the South Wales manufacturing facility are seeking a number of SMT Technicians also known as multi skilled Maintenance Engineers to deliver preventative and reactive maintenance to SMT manufacturing machinery.

The role will see you working to TPM principles working through preventative maintenance schedules ensuring uninterrupted, fault free manufacturing within the sites surface mount technology unit. You will be working on 3 phase electrical systems and mechanical systems to include pneumatic and hydraulics and some electronics such as PLC or machine control systems.

Ideal candidates will have worked on SMT manufacturing machinery previously however we will consider all applicants that are suitably qualified and can demonstrate core competencies around fault finding and repair of electromechanical machinery. You will ideally be qualified to ONC/HNC or BTEC level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline although other routes to qualification will be considered.
