Automation Engineer - Automated Gates and Barrier Service

Field Based - London & Home Counties

An Automation Engineer will need to be self-motivated and able to organise themselves, as well as contributing to the operational team, whilst delivering the highest level of customer service to all clients. Candidates with the ability to carry out the maintenance and repairs of automated gates and barriers would be well received.

Due to increased workloads this client, an independently owned electronic fire and security integration company based in St Albans, requires an Automation Engineer to undertake fault finding and repairs to automated gates and barriers. As an Automation Engineer you will be required to:

- Undertake maintenance of automated gates and barriers

- Provide reliable, quality support to customers at all times

- Assist customers and regional team with technical issues either on the phone or face to face

- Provide assistance and training to other team members as required

- Ensure you operate in line with the Client's vision mission and values

The Automation Engineer should have the following skills or experience:

- High level of experience within the Security industry

- Excellent technical knowledge of automated gates and barrier systems

- Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks and problems

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- Be aware of and responsible for the equipment required to complete the necessary works including emergency van stock

- Understand the need for precise completion of paperwork records of jobs and full use of PDA device

- Good customer service skills

- A flexible approach to working hours - Out of hours working will be required at times

- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and the environment by following:

o The Clients health and safety policy and procedures

o The health and safety at work act along with all site specific and statutory health, safety and environmental regulations and policies

o Method statements and risk assessments
