Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (LabVIEW)

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer (LabVIEW) will include the following:

• Developing software principally in LabVIEW and National Instruments Teststand for new test equipment, data acquisition and control systems.
• Design the overall architecture of the application, ensuring it is maintainable, extensible, reliable and efficient.
• Train and support less experienced Developers.
• Participate in Design reviews.
• Liaise with the other teams and disciplines within the company and customers at all levels to produce requirements and other system documents.
• Integrate the completed parts of the application into one application and validate the system complete with hardware.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing and Commissioning
• Work to the company's Quality Procedures.

The Senior Software Engineer (LabVIEW) should have the following skills or experience:

• Demonstrable experience of software design in the Test & Measurement industry
• Experience of software design process from development of brief through to final validation
• LabVIEW & TestStand experience (CLD minimum desirable but professional development is available to the right candidate.)
• Hardware knowledge, PXI (NI, Pickering, Keysight), Compact RIO, PC, RealTime FPGA.
• Some electronic hardware design experience preferred
• Have relevant Industrial experience, ideally within the Automated test, Defence or Aerospace sectors.

The successful candidate must satisfy security clearance requirements - including the last 5 years continual residency in the UK.
