Senior Calibrations and Development Engineer

Want to work for one of the most iconic and exciting British motoring brands, driving engineering excellence across their range of products? We are looking for a Senior Calibration engineer to oversee the continued improvement of a range of exciting projects, including road and race motorcycles for driveability and durability. This would also include development of chassis electronic functions such as traction control, launch control and anti-wheelie strategies.

Experienced in production vehicle calibration and emission controls, you will take responsibility for:

  • Calibrating vehicle emission behaviour to meet program target emission standard whilst satisfying other vehicle attribute targets such as combustion noise, driveability and performance
  • Delivery of aftermarket and performance tuned products across the range
  • Assisting in powertrain development, problem solving and resolution
  • Delivery of chassis control systems such as traction control, anti-wheelie and launch control
  • Assisting in electrical specification of the motorcycle
  • Providing testing support where necessary, overseas or trackside
  • Integration of drivability and performance targets alongside emissions
  • Providing support throughout the homologation and certification process

With relevant experience of a high-end engine management control systems for gasoline and electric powertrains and practical experience of automotive engineering fundamentals, we are looking for a real team player with an outstanding work ethic who can bring:

  • A good understanding of modern powertrain systems.
  • A good understanding of motorcycles.
  • Knowledge of chassis control strategies.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Emissions calibration & homologation.
