Sales Manager - West London - Aerospace - Competitive Salary + Bonus

An aerospace and aviation engineering organisation are looking for a Sale Manager who will be responsible for providing a sales and marketing service for the company to existing and potential customers to increase levels of profitable business, covering existing and potential repair capability. The sales territory will be a defined area covering UK and overseas markets.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Build and maintain customer relationships including visits and written correspondence
  • Maximise sales potential by Direct customer liaison including visits
  • Telephone contacts in respect of all aspects of past and present and future sales potential
  • Review of existing customer business to define and realise potential new business
  • Detailed ongoing analysis and understanding of territory to realise potential new business
  • Develop and act on territory sales activity plans
  • Provide pricing proposals and quotations in response to customer enquiries
  • Propose potential new repair capability opportunities to develop the repair business
  • Complete relevant administration duties as required including customer visit reports
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports for both Company and the Customer
  • Attend Trade Shows and Exhibitions as requested
  • Liaison with Finance department to assist with debtor queries so invoices are cleared
  • Work with Customer Service to get quotes approved and resolve customer queries
  • Work with the sales team to meet objectives to increase performance
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets

Other requirements for the Sales Manager include:

  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft word, excel, databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels
  • Good presentation skills and Good organisation skills
  • Ability to carry out sales negotiation and achieve/exceed targets
  • Proven ability of developing sales strategies to win new business
  • Able to demonstrate a commercial aptitude and compile and manage proposals
  • Technical Aerospace/Aviation background and knowledge of products - Desirable
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for the Aerospace industry
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing or and maintenance environment
  • Decisive thinker - able to analyse data and use it to make robust decisions
  • Skilled influencer - able to influence and gain commitment of others
  • Driven to deliver - holds self and others accountable for delivery
  • Collaborative - works effectively with all stakeholders
  • Full current driving licence and passport with Extensive UK, and overseas travel
  • Able to arrange travel plans within a budget, including booking travel and accommodation
  • Able to travel to other company and customer sites, sometimes at short notice

Security Clearance will be required for this role due to the nature of the products involved
