Sales Director



In support of a globally and strongly UK positioned company providing a range of solutions to the automotive, commercial vehicle and engineering sectors, we are seeking a highly strategically and strong Sales Director to manage and drive further sales growth in the UK.


Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this confidential position based near to the West Midlands/Gloucestershire/Worcestershire/Herefordshire area requires candidates ideally from the automotive or similar sectors (aerospace etc..) who understand the need for accurate sales and pipeline management to support successful growth against quarterly and annual sales targets.


You will also be responsible for:

  • Directing the efforts of the sales team in the achievement of the organisation's strategic objectives in the UK
  • Directing the efforts of the sales team to meet all Sales objectives
  • Managing staffing and maintain an effective and expert sales team
  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure the organisation's portfolio and services are sold effectively
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to create a successful total strategy
  • Effectively communicate to all stakeholders
  • To carry out any other duties as reasonably required commensurate with the nature of the job and level of responsibility.


From an office-based position and working within this established and successful organisation, this role requires:

  • Degree qualification
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive industry
  • Minimum 7-10 Years sales experience in the automotive industry
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience
  • The ability to execute strategies skilfully involving multiple stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, result oriented, customer focused
  • A strong and methodical management style
  • Very strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to meet and beat deadlines
