Position - Robot Welding Engineer

Location - Telford

Salary - £25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience and skills

Note: This opportunity is open to both graduate level candidates with engineering degree/qualifications or experienced engineers with industry knowledge and skills.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Robot Welding Engineer to join our business located in Telford. We are Robotic and Automation/Special Purpose Machine integrator. We provide complete turnkey automated solutions and systems for various applications, material handling, machining and welding. We have over 20 years of experience within industry and can offer a bespoke solution to our customers.

Candidates with industry experience would be expected to have some of the following experience/skills:

  • Experience of programming and manipulating robots (ABB, KUKA, Staubli, Fanuc).
  • Experience of writing programs and making adjustments to the code.
  • Previous experience working with/using welding robots, spot welding, friction welding and resistance welding.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and machinery/robotics/welding systems.
  • Experience of installation and commissioning of robotics, machinery, automated cells.
  • Working from engineering drawings/diagrams.
  • Should be able to optimise equipment/machinery/robots for improved cycle times.
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Candidates with limited industry experience or graduates should have the following skills/experience:

  • An engineering degree/HNC/HND/apprenticeship in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 12 - 24 months work experience in a related field - automation, robotics, engineering, manufacturing etc.
  • Drive, passion and enthusiasm for learning and developing your skills, engineering knowledge and ability.
  • Self motivated and ability to work either on your own or in a team.
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
