Job title: Race Applications Support Engineer
Salary Range: £32,000 to £36,000 pa plus Benefits

An Applications Support Engineer is required with knowledge of bearing design and development to support the race team development programs. Candidates with experience of the engine and bearing product within the motorsport arena would be well received.
Due to the development of race technology, this world leader in powertrain development, based in Kilmarnock requires a forward thinking and technically driven Applications Support Engineer with knowledge of engine and bearing development.
As an Applications Support Engineer you will be required to:
- Understand customer requirements both commercially and technically.
Design of bearing, mechanical and/or systems using proprietary software and other calculation techniques.
Providing advice and recommendations to customers.
Facilitate New Part Review meetings to i ntroduce new parts to the production team.
Contribute to an effective communication system within the Race Unit.
Ensuring customer specifications & pricing data are accurate.
Capable of producing 2D CAD drawings based on customer specifications.
Micro-examination of used parts to analyse bearing performance.
Preparation of technical reports.
The Applications Support Engineer should have the following skills or experience:
Understand commercial and technical issues and solutions to engineering activities.
Qualified within mechanical design having supported the development of products from concept from through to manufacture.
