Are you experienced in Stock sorting and containment and confident in uploading data on MS Excel packages? Are you knowledgeable on ISIR and PPAP utilisation?

We are currently working with a UK based luxury brand manufacturer, seeking a Quality Technician to join an organisation focused on a no compromise provision to ensure an unrivalled driver experience.

 

Key duties in this Quality Technician role will include:

Ensuring support to the Supplier Quality Engineers to obtain Inspection reports and PPAP documents from our suppliers

Reviewing inspection reports to confirm parts meet the design specification

To communicate to the Supplier Quality Engineers any non-conformances or omissions in the Inspection Reports or PPAP submissions

The uploading of documentation onto the database

Ensuring maintenance of the PPAP tracker and communicate status of PPAP to the Quality team

To record the results of the Goods-in inspection defined on the Homologation mandatory Inspection plan

To support the Quality Engineer to investigate lineside quality issues

Managing containment of non-conforming parts found in the quality checks or manufacturing processes

To manage the Quarantine area and report to the Quality Manager any parts pending disposition for more than 2-weeks

To support the Quality Engineers to run the non-conforming parts process including supplier chargeback for rejected parts

Contacting Suppliers for any corrective action requests not returned after 48 hours

 

In addition to the above, the successful Quality Technician will demonstrate an understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and;

Basic interpretation of engineering drawings

An understanding of manufacturing processes

The planning and prioritising of activities

A good level of communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to present data effectively and to work in a dynamic environment
