Quality / H&S Manager
This manufacturer of plastic packaging products are looking to recruit a Quality/Health & Safety Manager to join the business. The successful candidate will take ownership of the QHS functions on the site, ensuring that the business is operating at the highest standards.
The Quality/Health & Safety Manager will ideally have experience within a packaging, plastics or related manufacturing environment.
The duties of the Quality/Health & Safety Manager include:
Maintain the IMS to ensure it is current, compliant and meets business needs.
Responsible for the Quality of the product produced on site.
First point of contact for customer complaints/queries.
Ensuring the sites certification is maintained and continuously reviewed.
Review and update quality systems when required.
Approval of new/current suppliers of materials, consumables and services.
Ensure the internal audit system is kept up to date.
Ensure the site adheres to all Health & Safety requirements and assist with any HSE visits.
Communicate changes in legislation, quality, environmental and Health & Safety aspects to all key personnel ensuring this is filtered down to all relevant parties.
Previous experience gained within an extrusion/packaging environment at management level.
Previous Quality experience at management level.
Formal qualification in Internal Auditing.
Formal qualification in Health & Safety management.
