Quality Engineer

Are you a Quality Engineer who can offer experience of ensuring compliance and assisting with adherence to Quality Management Systems and Medical Device Regulations e.g. ISO 13485?

This is a pivotal role providing s upport to the Project Quality Leader in continuous improvements within shop floor leading quality initiatives and kaizen activities. You will be asked to provide leadership for quality engineering projects from concept through design, implementation, testing, documentation, support and maintenance.

Core responsibilities in this Quality Engineer role will include;

    • A good working knowledge and experience of creating PFMEA's and control plans alongside understanding risk based statistical techniques, in particular process risk, statistical sampling plans, process capability and Gauge R&Rs.
    • Offering excellent problem solving skills for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions using CAPA's and IE's agreeing closed loop corrective actions with Operations & Eng. Teams.
    • Compilation of work instructions and inspection sheets as required.
    • Be responsible for monitoring and managing quality of products within their allocated areas to maximise 'right first time'.
    • Ensure operations team compliance to procedures and associated documentation.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise.

Carry out internal auditing / GEMBA walks to ensure QMS compliance and continuous improvement activities.

Assist with leading and training of quality awareness.

Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Produce written reports and make presentations as required.

In addition to previous Medical sector experience, a degree qualification is a key requirement for this Quality Engineering role - as is competency on Microsoft packages and strong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills.
