Quality Engineer

Chesterfield

We are recruiting a Quality Engineer to work for a Company with a heritage since 1927 in powder processing for highly regulated and quality-sensitive sectors.

The role will be responsible for supporting the Process Engineering Manager in maintaining and improving the quality systems and accreditations across the business.

Main Objective & Responsibilities:

  • To audit and maintain the companies Quality Management System to comply with
  • ISO9001:2015.
  • To perform process audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Complete Health & Safety Risk Assessments
  • To lead / support improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with customers regarding quality concerns, standards etc.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • To support, manage and maintain compliance to ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
  • Provide visible safety leadership and perform risk assessments to ensure health and safety standards are maintained
  • To drive improved site quality performance through analysis of quality and lab inspection results, customer feedback and provide periodic and exceptional reports to management and production teams
  • To undertake internal system and technical audits as required in the agreed time frame with the Process Engineering Manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ideally the right candidate has a Science-based Degree OR Chemical Processing knowledge / background with experience in a Quality Engineering role.
  • Has an ability to solve mathematical problems
  • A good attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good Interpersonal & team working skills
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of uncertainty of measurement
  • Understands how to deliver good customer service
