QA Manager - £35k to £40k DOE - Redditch, South Birmingham

If you want to work in an environment that has a small business family feel to it where everyone knows your name but large enough to offer security this one is just for you.

The business farms and processes protein based food products in a combination of volume frozen and also high end bespoke packed, ready to eat products. Employing around 300 people and with a turn over in the region of £100m with expected growth of 10% to 15% over the next year this is a great time to join and make a name for yourself.

Reporting to the Head of Technical you will be managing day to day quality assurance activities through a team of around 10 across health & safety, food safety, hygiene and ensuring regulatory compliance through all new product introduction projects. This will include the development and continuous improvement of a HACCP orientated QMS.

You will be investigating customer complaints, identifying the route cause and delivering corrective and close out actions. Through the development and application of a robust QMS you will be a driver and advocate of best practice and the highest standards across BRC, HACCP and third party/customer standards.

This is a manager position so we would like to see some experience of managing and developing others, supporting recruitment and retention and training as required. This supported with formal training across food safety, HACCP, hygiene and BRC standards would make you an ideal candidate. The environment is high care so experience of high care manufacturing environments will be a distinct advantage.
