Quality and Safety Manager – West London - Attractive – Permanent

A Quality and Safety Manager is required to join a well-established Aviation Systems company on a Permanent and long-term basis. The Quality and Safety Manager will be the nominated Part 145 Accountable Manager. The Quality Manager will maintain and operate the quality & safety management system to meet company regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Quality and Safety Manager – Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining the quality & safety management system.
  • Act as the as the appointed Quality & Safety Manager.
  • Ensure that Senior Management is kept properly informed on safety matters.
  • Maintenance of quality data, documents, and procedures.
  • Responsible for internal auditing of the company quality and safety management system.
  • Responsible for external auditing of company suppliers.
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out for changes in processes and procedures.
  • Maintain trend data for quality and safety performance.
  • Liaise with third party auditors and respond to enquiries regarding quality accreditations.
  • Responsible for ensuring continuous improvement and customer targets are set & met.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
  • Communicate with senior management team as required.

Skills and Qualifications Required for Quality and Safety Manager

  • Certificate and Qualified within Quality Assurance Management or similar.
  • Has an appropriate understanding of the applicable Aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience with CASA, CAA, EASA, DASA and third-party auditors.
  • Good attention to detail and analytical with complex or diverse information.
  • Able to interpret data and designs workflows and procedures.
  • Good Problem Solving and analysis of complex information.
  • Able to manage difficult customer situations and respond promptly to customer.
  • Good Communication and group presentation skills.
  • Good written communication skills and able to present numerical data effectively.
  • Able to read and interpret complex written information.
  • Good teamwork ethics with openness to others' views.
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts success of team above own interests.
  • Able to inspire and motivate others to perform well and manage organisational change.
  • Facilitate process improvements and fosters quality focus in others.
  • Improves processes, products, and services.
  • Prioritise and plan work activities whilst using time efficiently.
  • Develop realistic action plans and able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to read and interpret documentation, technical procedures, or regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and understand procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to write clear, concise procedures.
