Project Engineer / Project manager - transmissions / gears - Nottingham

My client is an SME but with international offices and is a leader in its field. It specialises in the development of engineering analysis software and providing consultancy services to industry specifically on transmissions and gears.
What you will do:
Working primarily on the consultancy side of the business you will manage a portfolio of client projects in a professional manner. Typical project values are up to £5mil and span a number of years.

  • work closely with clients to elicit, capture and understand their requirements
  • translate customer requirements into a resource, costing and timing plan
  • manage delivery, timing, costs planing for risk and contingency where required
  • take part in regular customer reviews on progress
  • please note you will be responsible for driving not just recording progress

What you will need:

  • higher education eg degree or equivalent
  • demonstrate minimum of two years or greater project management skills in any industry involving mechanical engineer of moving parts eg power generation, auto, aerospace, rail,
  • previous experience of gears, rotating parts, transmission systems would be advantageous as would a European or oriental language
  • must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
