Job Title - Project Engineer
Hourly rate - up to £32 per hour

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to work for this prestigious automotive OEM, based in Chichester. As Bespoke Project Engineer you will primarily be responsible for the interior trim part development - this will include veneered, painted and leathered trim parts, often incorporating high value materials such as precious stones/gems, fabrics, illumination elements. There is also a need for developing Accessory components: e.g. Bike Racks, Tow Bars, Rubber foot mats, Car covers, luggage nets, Side Steps.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- The management and delivery of all component development activities across the relevant multi-departmental process-chain to ensure on time introduction and integration into bespoke vehicle content
- Project planning of all engineering activities to the required detail in support of the tasks assigned by the Lead Engineer
Candidates must be conversant with automotive crash regulation requirements and general development skills such as CATIA v5, DFMEA, Tolerancing, verification testing requirements etc.
You will ideally be degree qualified with experience in an automotive engineering environment, specifically interior trim. There may also be some international travel involved with this role.
