Production Project Engineer - Medical Devices

A Production Project Engineer is required to join a company that specialises in the service, repair, and calibration of medical devices and medical equipment to the Manufacturers specifications.

The Production Project Engineer role will report to the Chief Operations Officer and will monitor and improve the quality of the operational processes. The Production Project Engineer responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products. The Production Project Engineer will be developing and putting into place quality control systems and determining corrective actions.

The successful Production Project Engineer will be project managing small to large change programs and will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures on the company production lines and for the field service engineers.

The Production Project Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing and implementing quality standards.
  • Developing and managing project plans.
  • Monitoring and analysing quality performance.
  • Inspecting & testing materials, equipment, and products ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Liaise with operations managers to develop and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure that work-flows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

The Production Project Engineer Qualifications Skills and Experience:

  • Degree/HND within quality or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of quality engineering and excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet quality standards.
  • Ideally IOSH qualified to enable Health & Safety to be incorporated into work-flows.
  • Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Experience using QA software tools and processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and IOSH Qualified
  • Previous experience of working with a variety of Medical Devices and electronics.
  • Knowledge of ISO13485 quality systems and procedures
  • Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to maintain and achieve targets/deadlines.
  • A professional team player who is self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • PC literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
