A Production Planning Manager is required with knowledge of production & material flow, capacity planning and logistics. Candidates with experience of the automotive industry would be well received.

Due to the need to improve the material flow and planning within the manufacturing environment, this specialist organisation producing high value niche products on a low volume/batch basis requires a proactive, forward thinking and highly organised Production Planning Manager with a track record in improving production flow within a low volume manufacturing environment for this new permanent role. As a Production Planning Manager, you will be required to:

  • Review current processes and systems within material, logistics and production planning to increase efficiency and reduce waste within the manufacturing operations
  • Lead all capacity planning activities and process analysis to ensure the appropriate tools are being utilised across the business to increase efficiency's
  • Manage a team through effective KPI's to meet the company targets and objectives
  • Represent the company at strategic meetings to report on capacity planning concerns and corrective actions as required

The Production Planning Manager should have the following skills or experience:

  • Determining production capacity needs within a manufacturing environment to support new product ranges whilst improving the efficiency's of current production processes
  • Planning for future capacity requirements working with cross functional teams to ensure corporate objectives are achieved
  • Optimizing manufacturing efficiency's, stock levels and material flow to support cost down initiatives to improve profitability
