The organisation manufactures NATO registered decontamination products for civil and defence personnel and a range of insect repellent products for skin and textile protection from vector borne diseases.
Operating from its UK headquarters in Hampshire the British company has a second manufacturing plant in Shropshire and local offices in mainland Europe, Australia, North America and Africa; all providing products and expertise to pest controllers in over 50 countries worldwide.
The organisation is growing, and company turnover is set to double in the next 10 years. The organisation has asked us to search for an exceptional Production Manager to join the company.
The role of Production Manager will offer strong and stable career progression. It is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing processes at their site in Telford.
As Production Manager you will work closely with the General Manager and Managing Director in the implementation of a modern and lean manufacturing plans to increase outputs and to maintain quality products that are delivered on time, in full. You will actively drive improvement strategies designed to deliver company objectives on growth, customer service and cost reduction.
All aspects of manufacturing will need to be covered including quality and health and safety, and you will work to improve all disciplines.
We are looking for someone who can quickly establish their credibility and start to make a positive impact on the manufacturing processes. The business is keen to look at continuous operational and manufacturing improvement techniques being implemented into the business, so if you understand and use any major lean methodology, this would be an advantage.
Ideally you will have experience of managing people and using them to help in the development of change and continuous improvement in the working environment. Excellent communication skills are a must, and you will have the ability to influence at all levels as you be expected to push through change.
