Production Control Scheduler

Salary Circa £32,000 plus pension, every other Friday off. Summer and Christmas Shut down, plus 11 floating holiday days.

A growing Telford based business is looking for a Production Control Scheduler who can support the various planning roles in Production Control to ensure a smooth, stable monthly plan.

As a Production Control Scheduler, you will:

Receive and review sales branch Purchase Orders and Forecasts, providing customers with confirmations

Communicate with all intercompany sales branches and internal Logistics department to advise order status and machine availability, to ensure high customer satisfaction level.

Work closely with other members of the team to formulate both short-term work order schedule and long-term plan (in line with Company Mid-term Business Plan) leading to the creation of schedules for 5 plus Production lines and 400 plus items, using data from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and various Excel spreadsheets.

Chair the daily meeting, maintain close daily communication of requirements and progress with Production and Material supply teams.

Review and action daily Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 MRP Futures messages of firmed/planed Work’s Orders, identify constraints and reschedule to mitigate shortages and prevent downtime.

Produce monthly reports and departmental KPI reporting in conjunction with Finance team reporting deadline and ensuring the highest level of accuracy.

Support the maintenance, integrity, and accuracy of product BOM’s (Bill of Materials) to ensure the correct build method, material stock accuracy and correct costing.

Support departmental activity plans by working closely with other departments of the business

We are looking for a Production Control Scheduler who has the following skills and experiences:

• Production planning experience (essential)
• Strong MS Excel skills (essential)
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX is an advantage)
• Team player with good communication skills
