Procurement Manager - Oxfordshire - Excellent Salary & Benefits
A Procurement Manager is required with a background operating within the automation sector. Candidates looking for their next step would also be well received.
Due to the continued success of this company, a world leader in intelligent automated solutions based in the Oxfordshire area requires a motivated and driven Procurement Manager
As the Procurement Manager you will be required to:
- Responsible for the results of local procurement strategies within the subsidiaries, in accordance with the Lead Buyer
- To ensure the supply and a sustainable risk management, in accordance with the Lead Buyer
- Responsible for technical clarification in collaboration with Engineering and Planning Department
- To establish Supplier Relationship Management and ensure Supplier development (cost, quality, innovation, risk management)
- Analysis of the supplier market and sourcing activities
- To execute supplier enquiries and price comparisons (RFI, RFQ)
- Select and qualify new suppliers with support from Global Procurement & Sourcing, responsible for local supplier ratings and supplier development
- To be responsible for communication to current suppliers and local representatives of the suppliers
- Standardisation of terms, conditions and contracts with suppliers
- Preparation and execution of negotiations (Contract Management)
- Purchase Order Processing incl. contracts and order confirmation
- Collaboration and support in tracking of deliveries and current project progress
- Claim management - to negotiate claims with suppliers
The Procurement Manager should have the following skills or experience:
- Experience in the field of Procurement
- Commercial and technical knowledge and education
- Legal awareness regarding capital contracts and working knowledge of MF1, NEC and FIDIC contracts
- Advanced organisational skills
- Ability to act based on facts and to make decisions even in unstructured and uncertain situations
- Positive, constructive and self-confident
- Ability to analyse failures and problems and to develop possible solutions
- Experience with ISO accreditation (9001, 14001) would be an advantage
