Procurement Contract Lead

Salary - £40,000 -50,000

Located – Wolverhampton

A Procurement Contract Lead is required to join a specialist manufacturing business based in the Wolverhampton area. The Procurement Lead will be responsible expediting of supply chain deliverables and managing the Procurement contract expeditor working closely with Project buyers and supply chain. Candidates with experience of working in Manufacturing environments would be well received.

Due to a period of growth this fantastic company, based in Wolverhampton requires a Procurement Contract Lead to join the team for a new permanent opportunity working in a fast-paced environment. As the Procurement Lead, you will be required to:

  • Management of Supply Chain contracts
  • Management of the Procurement contract expeditor, one to ones and mentoring
  • Managing the delivery of products within the supply chain
  • Responsible for all documentation to and from the supply chain
  • Support the investigation and closure of supplier NCRs
  • Monitoring supply chain performance against the ANL schedule and contract milestones
  • Identifying and resolving any emerging issues that may arise within the Supply chain
  • Managing any variations and change control with the subcontractor/supplier contracts

The Procurement Contract Lead should have the following skills or experience:

  • A Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement/contracting and expediting
  • MCIPS qualification or working towards
  • An understanding of the NEC form of contract
  • An understanding of management and the delivery of supply chain contracts
  • Project Management skills (forecasting, scheduling, cost control and risk management)
  • An understanding of quality control plans
  • A knowledge of supplier QC management and oversight
  • Excellent communication skills
