Procurement Assistant / Junior Buyer
12 month contract
Perform rudimentary purchasing processes for new parts for of our facility in Texas. Email communication will be frequent between this site and the post holder.
This will involve daily review of computer reports detailing the creation of new part numbers, identifying which of these parts have been used in the production of engines.
You will liaise with sites to quote for the supply of parts, raise purchase orders, set up a formal contract to supply parts at a given price, with specified Minimum Order Quantity and a formally established lead time.
Communication will primarily be written (e-mails) and occasional telephone follow ups.
In addition, the candidate will act as an administrative support to a team of 3 NPI Project Leaders and further duties will involve creation of Requisitions (prompts to purchase product) and review of current parts in work across the whole NPI team and look for opportunities to progress.
This will involve the candidate in gaining access and familiarity with several different software systems.
The candidate will be buying and administrating the procurement of engine spare parts.
The candidate does not need to be an engineer or a purchasing professional but does need to be confident in using systems, and must be able to develop a logical, organised way of working and should not be fazed by problems, but seek ways to overcome them and be committed to delivering a support service to the wider team.
Hours: 8am – 5pm
