ROLE PROFILE: Process Engineer
HOURS: 8am - 430pm / 1pm on Friday
LOCATION: Stourport

OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE: Process Engineer
The position is integral as part of the growth of the Engineering Team. The role will provide engineering support to the business to help deliver solutions / projects which will add benefit to the overall operational site performance. The responsibilities will be varied and challenging, dependent upon the operational requirement and will cover most disciplines of process engineering. Daily support will be required to key operational areas and will be a "go to" for any engineering requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES: Process Engineer
Responsible for increasing manufacturing productivity by an agreed % per annum and develop countermeasures that will be in line with the business's strategic ambitions
Collaborate with supplier representatives to ensure the newest technology and consumables are being used to drive process and quality efficiency
Lead / attend engineering / technical review meetings and present work status and provide feedback where required
Build a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor, by working with and developing the skills of equipment setters and operators
Responsible for NPI, the procurement of production equipment, ancillaries, managing first off production trials with the operations and quality teams
Responsible for supporting production teams on daily issues ensuring plant/processes remain operational
To work with the operations management to generate and manage gross margin improvement plans and proactively challenge existing work practices to support the annual business planTo be committed to and champion a strong EHS culture on site
To support a strong culture of near miss reporting across all staff to assist in driving improvements to the site safety performance
To be committed to the Group-wide ethics and compliance programme, RBP; ensuring a common approach to doing business the right way and adhering at all times to the core elements of the programme - values, policies/guidance, training/education and compliance risk assessment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Process Engineer
Essential Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience within a production environment in a Process Engineering role utilising lean manufacturing tools and techniques, including, but not limited to; value stream mapping, 6S, KanBan and Kaizen
Experience in project delivery and problem solving
Experience in Process Engineering in an ISO 9001 environment
Experience of operating within a strong H&S Culture
Desirable Experience
Experience utilising quality tools and Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques including, but not limited to; FMEA, SPC, Capability studies, DoE, 8D , Lean Sigma & Control Plans
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Desirable Qualifications
A minimum level of Yellow Belt qualification in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
