A Principal Engineer, Control Systems is required for a brand new automotive technology innovation centre, positioning itself at the forefront of electric and hybrid vehicle technology development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the advanced engineering of EV and Hybrid vehicle products, for a wide range of global customers.
As Principal Engineer Control Systems - you will be required to
Capture and interpret control requirements and implement suitable EV controller software architecture.
Develop motor control and DC/DC control algorithms. Control modelling using Simulink, MATLAB environments.
Generate C code to be used in a model-based environment, whilst working to a V-Cycle based methodology, implementing robust product testing, calibration, verification and version control techniques.
Design functionally-safe solutions, including ASIL analysis and working to ISO26262.
As Principal Engineer Control Systems - you will have
An Engineering degree in a control-related and/or electrical and electronic engineering discipline.
Experience of significant project responsibility in an Automotive Tier1 supplier or OEM.
An advanced appreciation of modern digital control theory, algorithms, techniques and practical limitations.
An enthusiasm for C, MISRA C and AUTOSAR-based control system development. With experience of SysML, FMEA, CAN testing tools, software architecture design, such as Rhapsody, and requirements capture (eg. DOORS).
Familiarity with NXP / Infineon processors would be highly desirable.
