Job title - Perceived Quality Engineer

Salary - up to £24 per hour

Location - Gaydon

Industry - Automotive

An opportunity has arisen for a Perceived Quality Engineer to work for this luxury automotive OEM based in the Warwickshire area.

The PQ & EE group needs to provide maternity cover for 6, potentially 12months. The PQ & EE group, within Body Engineering, is responsible for delivery of the Perceived Quality across all new model programmes - to ensure the delivery of an end product with leadership levels of Perceived Quality. The opportunities available to you from working within this group are:

  • To work on, and gain experience of, components and systems across the whole of Body & Trim Engineering with all the various technologies this involves
  • To work closely with personnel across the business involved with delivery of engineering concepts (from Engineering, Design, Manufacturing)
  • To lead a team of engineers and designers across a number of functions in the resolution of complex engineering issues, ensuring release of geometry which meets the exacting visual quality targets for our vehicles.
  • Utilisation of latest visualisation techniques. The role provides an ideal opportunity to develop a wider knowledge of Body Engineering components and programme delivery to support career development, whilst allowing the individual to impact directly on the visual quality of our vehicles. The role would ideally suit an Automotive Project Leader/Manager, or Lead Engineer, who wishes to move into a PQ role.
