Perceived Quality Attribute Lead Engineer

Can you offer proven perceived quality (pq) experience within an Automotive environment and the ability to take a lead role within Geometry & Appearance, Illumination, Materials or Operational Quality??

In this role you will help provide technical input to design and engineering to achieve PQ targets, keeping up to date with industry trends on Quality standards and customer expectations in PQ domain.

Ideal skills and experience for this Perceived Quality (PQ) Attribute Lead Engineer role will include:

A good knowledge of vehicle Interior & Exterior Components & systems.

Proven experience of Perceived Quality within an Automotive environment.

Ability to demonstrate application of engineering quality tools & techniques.

Offering experience of vehicle design and development processes.

Undertaking Perceived Quality assessments.

An analytical, structured, confident nature with excellent communication skills.

A strong character in supporting visual debates.

 

Key objectives for this role include:

Supporting the development of PQ processes & procedures ensuring alignment within the wider group.

Liaising closely with group companies to create a collaborative strategy across the brands.

To build close working relationships with Design, Marketing, Programme and Engineering to embed Perceived Quality into every stage of New Product Development and to become a recognised expert in this field.

Setting PQ targets at vehicle, system and component level.

Participating in target balancing, highlighting consequences of programme decisions.

Performing perceived quality attribute reviews on competitor products.

Conduct Virtual (DPA2) and physical vehicle assessments during development phases.
