Role: Operations Manager
Location: Solihull, Birmingham  

Salary: £ Competitive + Company Car

Overview:

  • We are currently recruiting for an experienced Manager to lead operations for our clients Engineering Service Centre in Birmingham, this is an exciting position that will be joining their new facility and involved in all supporting the business drive and grow their new state of the art facility to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and leadership of the operations for our clients engineering service centre, ensuring optimum operational performance of the business and that appropriate controls are in place to guarantee the long-term profitability and sustainability
  • Develop and enhance relationships with key partners such as, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Full Profit & Loss accountability
  • Overall responsibility for all project deliverables including but not limited to financial and commercial outputs, customer satisfaction and on time delivery
  • Motivational leadership of the employees in the provision of a dynamic customer focused multi-functional engineering repair business

Experience & Skills:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent within an engineering discipline
  • Completion of formal engineering apprenticeship 
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background, preferably within a rotating equipment repairs / maintenance environment
  • Proven business management and leadership experience within a service orientated environment
  • Experience and exposure to domestic and international markets 
  • Experience of managing large and complex departments
  • Experience of leading a team and excellent people skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present data effectively with excellent presentation skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety practices
  • Knowledge and experience of recognized ERP systems
