NEC3 Construction Supervisor (Highways & Bridges)
The ability to develop positive and fruitful relationships with all parties to the contract is vital to the success of our project portfolio. You should therefore be able to demonstrate your ability to establish and develop these positive relationships and we will be looking for evidence of the beneficial impact they have had on your past projects.
You must have experience as an ECC NEC3 Supervisor and should be able to demonstrate recent experience and knowledge of both Highways and Bridges construction supervision, ideally including recent projects involving construction within poor ground conditions. Experience of Network Rail standards and procedures would also be useful, but not essential. You must be able to work as part of a team and have a sound understanding in Construction site health and safety Ideally you will have knowledge of Highway Design Standards and the Specification for Highway Works including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
You should be competent to assess designs and construction activities accurately, challenging work which does not comply with the required standards. You should be able to understand and review the contractors sub-contractor and material proposals, inspection and test plans, testing schedule, testing processes and test results as this is a key part of the role. In addition, you will be competent to review the Contractors risk assessments, method statements and quality systems. You should also be competent with computers to manage the contract administration, records and quality systems in accordance with the company procedures
