MRP Inventory Controller - Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for an MRP Inventory Controller to join a Defence and Aerospace Systems company within the Stevenage area and the successful MRP Inventory Controller will manage the stock control system and manage the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) & MPS.

This is a chance for an MRP Inventory Controller that is looking for a long term and permanent role to join an SME that will support your Professional Development within the organisation for your stability and future with them.

Duties for the MRP Inventory Controller

  • Manage the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) & MPS
  • Organise and manage the yearly stock takes and auditor requirements
  • Create Stock level; stock profit and stock purchasing reports
  • Manage all Purchases relating to stock components & customer requirements
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels to current & future production requirements
  • Inspection of drawings/documents and releasing to suppliers for quotation & manufacture
  • Booking goods in / out and manage Stock Removals
  • Order scheduling / Requirements planning / Stock Level control
  • Interpret customer orders and requirements and Delivery schedules
  • Ensure all relevant documents are correct and up to date
  • Assist in weekly production & design meetings & create reports to monitor project budgets
  • Booking Purchase deliveries into MRP System and purchase order record keeping
  • Manage spreadsheets of Bill of Material breakdown (BoMs), costings and ordering

Additional Knowledge and Skills Required for the MRP Inventory Controller

  • Experience in a Production / Part control environment
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of working with MRP Systems
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel & creating Spreadsheets
  • Good Understanding of Solid works and 3D CAD design
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook
  • Good knowledge of the engineering and manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of the Defence and Aerospace Industry
  • Good understanding of Material types and General Engineering terminology
  • Excellent Teamwork skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Needs to be methodical and very organised
