Mechanical Supervisor Hercules - Mechanical Maintenance - Contract - South West
Due to the continued success of this global organisation, they are now expanding and looking for multiple Aircraft Engineers and Supervisors for a 6-month rolling contract. Our client is offering a competitive rate of pay along with a 6-month bonus scheme as an added incentive. Experience working on Hercules C130J within the past 2 years is required.
Your main duties within this role are as followed:

  • Analyse information to contribute to solving problems
  • In conjunction with others, determine a plan for servicing and maintenance
  • Oversee the general work and authorise progression to the next stage
  • Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on the C130J and its components
  • Ensure all aircraft and equipment paperwork is compliant and correct and report this daily
  • Certifying aircraft fit for flight
  • Continuous supervision of work carried out by personnel under your control
  • Adhering to all appropriate instructions, regulations, schedules, schemes and guidelines
  • Assist with encouraging personnel to improve their skill and knowledge in the trade
  • Always be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing customer requirements
  • Reporting of any difficulties encountered

Mechanical Supervisors should have the following skills or experience:

  • Apprenticeship in an aircraft engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working on Hercules C130J within the past 2 years
  • NVQs in engineering, or equivalent preferred
  • Specific Hercules training or evidential log book of work carried out.
  • Human Factors experience
  • Good people management skills
  • Good team working skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Computer literate, and familiarity with specific aircraft maintenance systems
