We are assisting with this well-known consumer and commercial product manufacturing group in the recruitment of an exceptional and forward-thinking Marketing Manager to take responsibility for their business to consumer sector. This business is developing into a true leader in sustainable and environmental aware products and solutions in its specialist market.

As Marketing Manager, you will be Responsible for the development, management and measurement of the UK&I consumer marketing strategy and associated marketing plans to attract, convert and retain  customers for product sales and service products, to maximise customer lifetime value and meet business growth targets.

The role covers all aspects of the marketing mix, however, 75% will be the online, social media and digital channels, so we are ideally keen to talk to marketing professionals who have strong track records of success in this space. Reporting to the Head of Marketing , you will be joining a dynamic and experienced team in developing best in class online strategies to help increase market share and retain customers in what is a highly competitive market.

As Marketing Manager, you will be expected to fulfill the below responsibilities:

  • Develop exceptional marketing communications strategies for Business to consumer audiences to increase brand awareness, engagement, conversion and retention.
  • Development and management of data driven integrated campaigns to drive the sales of  products and service solutions.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of B2C customer journeys, influencing the development of new services and improved customer experience, championing a test and learn approach
  • Drive business growth from new customers and our active customer bases, ensuring increasing efficiency of marketing spend and return on investment.
  • Measurement and ROI reporting of marketing activity with associated recommendations
  • Approve and oversee the creative development of promotional material, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects incompliances with brand guidelines and advertising standards
  • Optimise our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through online channels, digital advertising, social media, email
  • Leadership, management, coaching and development of the B2C marketing team
  • Building relationships with, and influencing, key senior stakeholders across the business to gain buy in for marketing strategies
  • Identify and apply a customer segmentation marketing communications approach, through data, insight, and customer journey analysis
  • Management of external agencies and suppliers including brand, digital and social to drive the  marketing strategy
  • Forecasting and managing the B2C marketing budget
  • Championing B2C customers, ensuring decisions are based on voice of the customer Developing market intelligence and customer insight data, including competitor and brand analysis to drive appropriate marketing strategy and plans

As a person, you will have an outgoing personality, can influence at all levels and be able to pitch ideas to all stakeholders, and have the courage to keep driving forward new ideas and visions.

You will have:

  • Track record of success in a senior marketing role
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Commercial and analytical acumen
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with, and influence and manage, stakeholders at all levels
  • People management and experience of coaching and developing a team
  • Project management skills, with the ability to drive and manage projects to meet agreed targets
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to interpret data and insight and use it to inform ongoing marketing strategy and plans
  • Extremely organised, with an excellent eye for detail
  • Preferably has a professional marketing qualification e.g., CIM

As this is a position that is strongly biased towards the online channel,  you will have excellent understanding of digital channels including  email, social media, search and SEO and content marketing, you will be keeping up to speed of developments and trends in this channel and incorporating them into the online strategy.
