Manufacturing Support Lead
We are currently seeking a bright and ambitious Manufacturing Engineer for a role based with a successful and expanding Scientific Production Company based in Berkshire.
Role

  • The successful candidate will "deputize" from current department managers
  • The role will work and gain business experience with all functions on a Manufacturing plant (HR through to Engineering)
  • The role will heavily support improving the company's current status quo, processes & standards
  • Co-ordinate & support improvement initiatives
  • Co-ordinate & support material management duties (WIP, stock & Kanban levels, stock counting, consumables management & shipping)
  • Issuing & closing of work-orders & work-flow planning
  • The candidate will champion and drive all aspects of World Class Manufacturing within their area of work to deliver on business metrics whilst balancing spend, inventory targets and availability to maintain excellent delivery performance
  • Assist manufacturing data & root cause analysis
  • Facilitate creation, editing & change management of standard work procedures
  • Expedite purchase orders
  • Challenge and improve the way we currently do things

  • This role has a clear progressive route to the management of a department - starting @ ground level with the basics
  • A management path is clearly prescribed within the role as the successful candidate will have adequate placement time across all departments

  • Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and creation/completion of reports

  • Capable of working in a challenging environment & resolving multiple tasks & initiatives simultaneously
