Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace - Birmingham - £40-£50K

A Manufacturing Engineer is required with knowledge of CNC Programming both on and offline. Candidates with experience of the aerospace industry would be well received.

Due to the continued success and growth of the business, a manufacturer of precision machined parts for the aerospace sector based in the Birmingham area requires a driven and proactive Manufacturing Engineer for a new permanent role. As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

  • Construct CNC programs for CNC Machines
  • Provide manufacturing solutions to a cost and time effective plan
  • Construct process method operations and prove out manufacturing methods
  • Design jigs & fixtures to enable cost effective and efficient manufacturing processes
  • Strive to improve current manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling under continuous improvement
  • Understand the requirements of AS9100 quality system and the effect on manufacturing solutions


The Manufacturing Engineer should have the following skills or experience:

  • Able to program on and offline using ONE CNC but other software experience is welcomed as training will be provided
  • Understand operational sequences
  • Experienced with 4 or 5 axis CNC Machinery
  • Knowledge of a wide range of materials
  • Aerospace background is preferred but will also welcome other precision manufacturing sectors
  • Carry out Method Improvements and CI led activities
